How to walk with personality, talk with personality.
By Daimyo Shi
Now the biggest challenge in Roleplaying is to have a personality for you character. Now people will go on about background, personality traits, advantage and disadvantages, and all of these can help you develop a personality for your character, but is also possible that you just keep saying the same thing over and over again like a broken record. Now in Dragon Magazine some years ago I read an article called "I'm Ok You're One-Dimensional" by David Clarke. In that he says:
"I started basing Characters on 'media models' like Indiana Jones, Ross Perot even Cookie Monster. One source I stayed away from was traditional fantasy (E.G., J. R. R Tolkien, Terry Daniels, the Conan movies) many of the stereotypes I was trying to get away from were based on characters from these sources; after all, who more typifies the wise-wizard-with-a-beard than Gandalf?
A quick word about what makes a good model: the primary attribute is familiarity. Cookie Monster made a good model, but if you're not very familiar with him, he won't work for you. remember, the purpose of a model is to help you define the character's personality and play him [her]consistently. the second attribute is uniqueness. A grumpy Detective Fish (Barney Miller) would be pretty close to the stereotype as a dwarf, so what would be the point of using him as a model? a Norm Peterson (Cheers) or Popeye would be much more memorable." [Issue #225, January 1996, p. 38]
Now Mr. Clarke goes at length to speak about using media models as transitional step to become a better roleplayer, and that fine. He further relates other steps in creating effective characters of the PC, that is the goal. I personally find the value in use of media models for NPC. Some may not that some of the NPC I have on this site in that section have clear media models, other are media modeled but isn't as clear to some people. Now while Clarke-san has touched on familiarity, I like to stress it again . You mush be familiar with the model or it will not work well. When choosing a media model take care in matching at least some aspects that fit the general Clan and Culture of the character. Detective Fish is a poor choice for Ventrue Diplomat, Popeye is going to be very odd ball Gangrel. Don't be afraid of casting against the type though, while most media model are never going to fit all clans, some will fit several and it fun to cast against the type. Using Tasslehoff [Dragonlance] or Popeye for an Toreador will make for an interesting character. also don't be afraid to make some small modification to personality you are modeling. Don't like Wolverine's temper? remove it just remember it will affect how you play the character. using a model doesn't force you to everything like the character you are using. You do need to put some of you into the character or you end up with something just as bad the broken record you were trying to avoid by using a media model. Now Mr. Clarke warns us about using traditional Fantasy characters because the very stereotypes he trying to escape are created by those character. However, I think that Vampire based movies, anime, manga, novels have far less risk than the Fantasy stereotypes that he was trying to escape I could be wrong thought. Also, we can borrow the fantasy characters that he was avoiding because the setting is different. One other thing about media model, just because a character is from a comedy or drama don't get stuck in that mind set, there no reason a character based on Indiana Jones can't make a few jokes, or Sir Lancelot from Monty Python and the Holy Grail can seriously deal with a kidnapping.
For Game-master/Storytellers, Media models are great for those NPC you need quickly because the party has gone and wanted to meet someone you never though they ask about. Here you can give them a NPC with feelings and body that will seem more natural than something you just trying to stress through. all you have to do is remember some characters from movies and TV that are likely floating in you head. Always remember to make notes of any off the cuff NPC including their media models as nothing make a game shatter, like a NPC having completely different mannerisms the next time the PC encounter them.
Now for Any World of Darknes sgame you can make you character first then pick a personality or pick a personality and developed a character around it. do it how you want but I think you get more out of using a media model by picking a character first and then building the character's stats.[see the example below.]
The Following is a list of media models and comments on Clans and other things to keep in mind with them for World of Darkness. Remember the most important thing is to be familiar with the model. I consider myself pretty familiar with all of these. Also, don't tell me "That Wrong, Character X should be in Clan Y." I only giving you suggestions anyway, play them how you want. Oh and there is no order to this.
- Wolverine [X-Men], Wolverine is highly honourable, has a terrible temper, and is a bit of loner. He understands loyalty, can be very protective and is "the best at what I do". He makes a good Brujah or Nosferatu.
- Prothos [Three Musketeers 1993], Olver Platt's Prothos is great character, he vibrant and witty. He very showy, slightly arrogant, and easy to provoke into a duel. As a result, He make a good Brujah, Ventrue, or Tremere.
- Richelieu [Three Musketeers 1993] Tim Curry's Richelieu is ruthless, intellectual, deeply cunning, and politically able. Debate his evilness if you wish. Ventrue or Lasombra matches well.
- Riddick [Pitch Black, Chronicles of Riddick] Riddick is a Survivor. he is tough, strong fighter, who pretty ruthless. However, he not guiltless and is pretty hard to manipulate with shame. He enjoys getting the last laugh but only if it not needlessly dangerous. He seem very much Brujah, but Assamite, Ravnos, and Gangrel work well too.
- Kane [Kung Fu: the Legend Continues] Kane is a righteous, sensitive old master of Kung Fu, he a loving if slightly distant father who rather not fight if he can. Idealist Brujah perhaps, Toreador is possible, a lay back accepting Nosferatu even.
- Robin Hood [Robin Hood: Men in Tights] He very heroic, slightly cunning, and can speak with an English accent unlike some other Robin Hoods. Simply put his rather classic hero. He good but not quite so good that he doesn't know his limits. he also has a very barbed wit. He makes a good Anarch or Brujah.
- James Bond, the classic slick, cultured ladies man who also happens to be a lethal and cunning killer. James Bond is what nearly every man wishes to be. Clearly Bond makes a great model for Ventrue or Lasombra in an active rule rather than planer.
- Saitou Hajime [Rurounin Kenshin] is the perfect blend of good and evil. Lives by his own code, owned by no one. Cool and in control. His Smirk lies on the edge between evil and arrogant. Incredible skilled, not just good with a sword, but tactics and knowledge, As skilled with a taunt as a complement. One of the few that works equally as well in Brujah or Ventrue, Tzimisce and Gangrel are also possible.
-
Matsuya Misaki [Excel Saga] She takes no crap from anyone. She in control and not afraid of pretty much anything. She is very intelligent, in fact she wouldn't be half as sexy if it wasn't for her intelligence. Ventrue, sure you can play Lasombra or Toreador too but she rather classic Ventrue in my mind.
-
Chun Li [Street Fighter II]she a smart, perceptive woman who also a great fighter. she not afraid of getting dirty to get the job done. She is a good Sheriff model, she can prety much be any non-Malkavian
-
Himura Kenshin [Rurounin Kenshin], he is very kind, compassionate and giving. He doesn't kill at all but has a much more violent side buried deep in his mind. he make a excellent Brujah, maybe a Gangrel given his loner manner.
-
Ryoko[Tenchi Muyo], she is sexy uninhibited and has a kind and compassionate side as well. She also happens to be very intelligent, if a little impulsive. Brujah, Toreador or Ravnos.
-
Tendo Nabiki [Ranma 2/1] one word describes Nabiki, Cunning [yes, Sexy in another one]. She the superior Con artist. Her abilities are featured in nearly every episode of Ranma 2/1. To do just to the Character you really should only play her a Ventrue, but I suppose Ravnos
can work too.
-
Osaka [Azumanga Daioh] She is totally charming and clueless, she lives in her own little world but still a very caring person. Her ability to be totally clueless and then say thing of great knowledge makes sure their is never a dull moment. Osaka should be a Shugenja for sure maybe courtier, but if you are using her clueless moments or her shifts of though, skip it, you get yourself killed or exiled. For unknown reasons Osaka SCREAMS Malkavian.
-
Alucard [Hellsing]he is cocky, snide, and ARROGANT. he great normal work with a bored expression. However, real challenges are greet with enthusiasm. He protective for those he cares about and has no fear. Alucard make a great Tzimisce, possilbe Lasombra or Ventrue.
-
Hyatt [ Excel Saga] She is clumsy, trusting, kind, considerate, incredibly intelligent and understanding. ironically she works for man bent on total world domination. Malkavian maybe, Toreador perhaps?
-
Faye Valentine incredibly sexy, cunning and intelligent a bit of a spend thrift but who care. Don't play gambling games with her though. She has a compassionate side. Toreador or Brujah.
-
Dark Schneider, [Bastard!!] Please, the man want to conquer the world so that he can sleep with all the women. He is cocky, arrogant, unafraid and showy, he has tons of style. Near impossible to deal with but does recognize loyalty and doesn't hold a grudge. He is skilled with magic So skilled that he defeated a Fire Effret with fire magic! Brujah, Tremere
or Lasombra, he too human like to be Tzimisce.
-
Sakaki-san [Azumanga Daioh], She quite, caring, a bit of a loner, intelligent, understated, natural athlete and sufferers from a curse that cats don't like her, Maya excepted. The clash between everyone's perception of Sakaki and who she truly is interesting and what you should exploit. Be shy but come off as confident. Sakaki is probably the close thing to an any clan character model, there is no clan that screams no you can't use that character with this clan. Gangrel might be more fitting than most.
-
Seras Victoria AKA Police woman [Hellsing], She is cute, some what naive and sexy. She is also clearly very loyal and compassionate. Caitiff, Malkavian, maybe Toreador.
-
Urishima Keitaro [Love Hina], he is clumsy, awkward, about as suave as a brick but so likeable. His stubborn dedication to his goals and duty is admirable. He takes his licks and doesn't even complain. Idealist Brujah, or Toreador.
-
Aoyama Motoko [Love Hina] She is Stubborn, vengeful yet still compassionate and a little naive. She admits not weakness or fear. Motoko make a Good Toreador, well so I thought since it was the clan I put her in.
-
Lupin III [Lupin] Lupin is cocky, cunning, quick with his fingers. There is nothing he can steal. He is always kicking butt and taking names even while making himself look like a fool. Takes nothing too seriously not even himself. He pretends to be suave but really isn't and can't help being attracted to ever beautiful woman he sees. As such he make a Great Ravnos, Brujah or Nosferatu.
- Quark [Star Trek: Deep Space Nine] Quark is a an amazing character because he pretends to be a ruthless, money grubbing, liar and thief. In truth, he has more honour and loyalty than he ever admit to. He cover his actions with a great deal of whining and complaining or other lies to govern for what he sees as weaknesses. In the end as much as he pretends not to like to do the right thing, it honestly does make him feel better in the end. As such Quark makes a a Great Ravnos, Brujah or Nosferatu, Giovanni and Ventrue are possible.
-
Otohime Mutsumi [Love Hina] She is trusting, kind, considerate, clumsy, incredibly intelligent, understanding, and nothing really faze her. She loves being helpful and is rather uninhibited. Toreador or Brujah fit her humanity the most.
-
Hibiki Ryoga, He is tough, and a skilled martial artist but also extremely polite, humble and caring. Brujah most likely.
-
Kamiya Karou [Rurounin Kenshin] She is stubborn, compassionate and surprisingly tough fighter. She won't stand to see people hurt if she can do something about it and unafraid of death. She has more patience that ten normal women and a nasty temper. Brujah or Gangrel.
-
Optimus Prime [Transformers] Prime is a kind, honourable, and compassionate man[ Robot] who leads by example and would rather send himself on clear suicide mission than send one of his own men. He pretty much as Noble as you can get. Likely the hardest example because of this Brujah is possible but he just as easily could be a Ventrue Prince inspiring loyality rather than fear. [It is possible]
- Elminister [Forgotten Realms]Elminister is a crafty, cunning, intelligent, yet compassionate rogue of a man. He manages to know little about everything [And a lot about most things]. He often sounds cynical but just apart of his wit and deep sense of humour. He a good person even as he grumbles about help people in over their head. he is good but not preach about it. He make a excellent Individualist Brujah or Gangrel. A Toreador is possible as well..
- Gandalf [Lord of the Rings] Gandalf is the wise, intelligent, and in the end, not afraid fight with everything he has. He is wise beyond any conventional scale. He is a man of secrets but with the best intentions. He makes a good Tremere Elder or Nosferatu elder.
- Jack Berton [Big Trouble In Little China]This cocky, loud-mouth, determined, truck drive of the Pork Chop Express. He understand loyalty and while being rough around the edges is a very capable fighter. Jack makes a good Brujah or sort of social Gangrel.
- James T. Kirk [Star Trek] Kirk is a head strong, action hungry man. He is a skilled military tactician and an able Diplomat. However, he real strength lays with in a almost supernatural ability to pull his crew out of the fire while banging every pretty female in the Universe. Out of any Star Trek character, Kirk is clearly Toreador.
- Konno Mitsune (Kitsune) [Love Hina] Kitsune is like her name sake quick, cunning and sharp. She has a barbed wit, understands loyalty, and when necessary be very caring. She also likes to toy and manipulate people but not normally to harm them. She also fond of Sake. unlike Nabiki, who screams Ventrue, Kitsune walks that line between Ventrue and Brujah. Of course Ravnos is possible too.
- John Lee [Replacement Killers] John Lee is a very controlled character, befitting his abilities as an assassin. He does care who he kills, he has limits and will not kill the innocent, he has honour and values his friends and understands loyalty and vengeance. Brujah or Tremere, not that not a contradiction.
- Montgomery Scott (Scotty) [Star Trek] Scotty is the wizard that can manage to save the U. S. S. Enterprise time and time again. His technical knowledge is clearly unmatched by any one [save maybe Data] in the any of the Star trek shows. He is jovial with a careful wit, who always says he can't do what you need in the time you give him but always does. Nosferatu, Toreador, or Tremere works.
- Dr. What 7 [Illuminati University] He is a intelligent, with a near perfect memory who is quite adapt at history. he weakness for beautiful women. Sometimes is know to argue with himself. As such he likely make a very good Malkavian, Tremere or Toreador.
- Lady Laura Croft [Tomb Raider] intelligent, sexy, not modest at all, and a very capable fighter. she has a Scholarly Side as well. She makes a great Brujah, Lasombra or Ventrue.
- Urashima Kanako [Love Hina] She is a very Cunning, and capable young woman. She fiercely loyal to her brother and is very good with disguise, In fact she so good she managed to fool very close friends of who she was disguised as. Ravnos or Brujah.
- Doctor Leonard McCoy [Star Trek] McCoy is one of the Big Three [Or four if you count Scotty, I do]in the Original Star trek show. He is a rather ornery, plain spoken man, who is the middle ground between Kirk and Spock. He tells it how it is and doesn't pretend to be anything he is not. he taken his own path is unapologetic for it. Brujah or Toreador works maybe Nosferatu or Giovanni. Granted any clan can have someone like him but he strikes be to human for Setties or Tzimisce.
- Blade [Blade Movies] Blade is a carefully crafted warrior, horned to hunt his prey, who are not use to being hunted. He slightly smug but not quite arrogant, he keeps his feeling well hidden. He knows his foes well but still can be fooled. He focused on his quest and doesn't distract from it easily. How you might want to go with Blade depends if you want to keep him as a Vampire hunter or if you want to just focus on his character without the hunter aspect. remember that Blade character largely comes from being a hunter. While any clan might find need to turn a hunter to their side Brujah and Malkavian strike me as best. Tremere might find value in the idea as well.
- Tomo [Azumanga Daioh] She is energetic, abrasive, and loud. You either love her or hate her no middle ground. She has no sense of scale and never knows when she crossed that line that she shouldn't have. She also doesn't understand when she being cruel. She also very outgoing a very much likes being with her friends. Because of this nature Tomo makes a good Brujah or Ravnos.
- Volo [Once Around the Realms] Volo is a rather nosy, intelligent, all too curious man bent on know a little bit about everything. he can't focus on anyone thing he moves from town to town learning new things and conning his way into food a drink where ever he can. He has a heart of gold in the end and will not leave a friend or even mere traveling companion in the lurch. he can be very cunning when he has to be and can even fight when forced but he rather not do either if he can help it. Given that he makes best character model for Ravnos, Toreador or even Tremere.
- Amelia wil Tesla Saillune [Slayers]Amelia is the Classic do gooder! She Fights for truth, justice and Bushido? well anyway she a total Klutz and also easy to fool. But Gullible and Idealistic together. There are no shortages of fools in any clan, so pick you favourite clan give them Amelia, the Vampire that they want to strangle the Crap out of but always temper their anger with the fact that she follows bushido so well.
- Starscream [Transformers] Starscream has no honour, he is an intelligent, practical, strategic and cunning man [robot] he is a bit of a coward but generally would rather cut his loses and retreat rather than squandering is manpower. As such he makes a damn fine Ventrue. The rest of the clans are more a imperfect fit but none truly stand out as being NO, NEVER.
- Jean Luc Picard [Star Trek: The Next Generation] He is a very intelligent, companionate man with flair diplomacy. He does have a well hidden dark side that craves revenge on those who have really wronged him. He prefers to talk than fight but is no slouch as a leader in battle. Ventrue mabe Lasombra fits.
- Lina Inverse [Slayers] Lina is the beautiful genius sorceress of slayers. She a fighter for justice [even while she often keeps the ill gotten goods of her foes for herself. She over all ends up doing the right thing. When it comes to magic she is a very skilled sorceress with no sense of scale. She go for her big spell right out of the gate. Lina should be played as a Tremere.
- Ironhide [Transformers] the grizzled touch take no crap bodyguard of Optimus Prime is primed to be a Yojimbo. He take no crap, is totally unafraid and will die to protect his charges. He makes a great Brujah body guard.
- Data [Star Trek: The Next Generation] Well I am sure that most people would consider Data to be a bad choice for a media model I think the reverse is true. Data might not have emotions but he does have personality. Data's quest to become more human is much like a quest for enlightenment, it just begs to be used in such a manner. Data is a good android, he is quite companionate in his own way [Through reason rather than emotion]. He is totally colour blind [clan blind?]. He makes interesting Camarilla Vampire.
- Gourry Gabriev [Slayers] Gourry is the good nature near Paladin like protector of Lina Inverse. Dense as the Kaiu wall, Gourry is not going to win any mental contests [though his perception and awareness is less affected] He is a skilled swordsman and brave as anyone. Any Clan Can work, Tremere are not as likely to have some that dense.
- K'Ehleyr [Star Trek: The Next Generation] K'Ehleyr is a slightly different Klingon [And are not Klingon an analog for Samurai]. She a skilled diplomat and is quite a bit more cunning than one expects. She is loyal but is very much in doing the right thing over the easy thing even if she might step on the toes of her superiors. She make an interesting choice for the Lion or the Crab given she skilled in tasks a little out of the norm, thus making her a interesting character to play. Lasombra, Ventrue or any other clan that fits that method.
- Zelgadiss Graywords [Slayers] Zelgadiss is strong, quiet curse young man. He is skilled in both magic and the warrior arts making a good character for those looking to blend. he a bit of bitter man because of his curse. He is a leader of men, easily managing to be very strategic when need be. Gargoyle [Free]
- Whistler [Blade] Whistler is the classic mentor/sensei who has been fighting and hunting his foes for more time than can easily be counted. He is skilled even for his age. He spit in the face of his foes rather than join them no matter the pain involved. He is tough as nails. Brujah most likely.
- Ro Laren [Star Trek: The Next Generation] Ro is a cynical young woman, who is trying to reach beyond her bad reputation to make good. She a bit of renegade, much more willing to do effective rather than what is acceptable. Brujah I suppose Ravnos or Gangrel works too.
- Worf [Star Trek: The Next Generation.] Worf is a man between cultures, part of him is a Klingon though, honourable and a pure warrior, the other part is his human compassion and diplomacy that rather work things without fighting. he identifies more strongly to the Warrior side but his abilities related to his other side should not be underestimated. he both sides of the Brujah coin.
- Kuno Tatewaki [Ranma 2/1] as bad as he comes off in the anime he pretty close to samurai are suppose to be. He a skilled swordsman, knows literature and art, lives by Bushido. I like him as a Lion but there no reason he couldn't be a Crane, Phoenix, Dragon, one of the minor clans or the like. The Unicorn are sort of removed from the culture part of Kuno and the Crab are just crude. I let others judge the Mantis.
- Filia Ul Copt [Slayers: Try]Filia is a very tempermental and more than a little condescending.she very much sure of her way being the right way. Of course she been a rather sheltered young womand so her naivete cause a creat deal of conflict between herself and her companions. She is really good for someone looking for a character that they can real develop. Filia as she learns thing is not unwilling to change what she believes if there is proof that what she believe is false. I think she make a good Tremere or Ventrue.
- Spock [Star Trek] Spock is the counter point to Kirk's jump in and save the world kind of mandate. Spock is logical, careful and very much a clear planner. he also a very good diplomat and isn't afraid of risk but likes to make sure he completely understands the risk before taking it. While he does pretend to use nothing but logic and be truthful. He can omit, error and otherwise take action that seems to go around his or societies rules. While McCoy and Kirk know loyalty it is Spock who understands it best. You could make a Spock a Tremere, Ventrue or Giovanni.
- Urashima Haruka [Love Hina] Haruka is the calm, cool and collected aunt of Urashima Keitaro. She can not bat an eye at nearly anything that Happens as Hinata Sou. She has not trouble defending herself, and she has a great deal of common sense. She has the aura of a Sensei, as anyone seems to be able to receive and answer from her that encourages them. Haruka makes a good Tremere or Toreador..
- Shinomori Aoshi [Rurounin Kenshin]there are two Aoshi, the Warrior/ronin that fights to provide for his men. the one that understands loyalty above all else. The one who kodachi skill is unmatched and fears nothing. Then there is the Monk like Aoshi who tiring to makeup for the pain he caused drinking tea and meditating The first Aoshi make a good Ventrue or Lasombra Model. the Second makes a Brujah idealist model.
- Xelloss [Slayers: Next] Xelloss is evil by nature, he is a Mazoku after all. He is manipulative, secretive, irritating, drive a person crazy. He even calls himself Trickster Priest. if that not a warning I don't know what is. He keeps information very carefully. He might share some of it but not all of it and he keep a great deal that can keep him from as much harm as possible. He is a master of playing sides off on each other while seeming Neutral. He has uncanny grasp of human nature, no respect for boundaries, and has a tongue considerably sharper than a Kakita blade. Xellos is loyal to his master however, of course his master happens to be one of five evil Mazoku lords in the Slayers' world. It might be possible for a person to be friends with Xelloss but you never know if it true or just a front for some plan. Yes you can play him as some Shadowlands oni or powerful lost being with some taint hiding but really Xelloss BEGS to be used a Lasombra!
- Achoo [Robin Hood: Men In Tights] Achoo the son of Asneeze is a strong fighter, an inspiring leader and makes a good second to Robin Hood. he has a nack for candit evaluation and good oratory abilities. He more careful than most and able to see falws in the plans of other. it possible to play him as Assamite, Brujah, Ventrue or Lasombra.
- Martok [Star Trek: Deep Space Nine] The tough, Honourable and Stubborn Klingon general is nothing short of amazing in some ways. He doesn't break, and is a great leader of men. Leading by example. Good any Camarilla clan.
- Makimachi Misao [Rurounin Kenshin] Misao is the cheerful, happy, excitable young girl. she slightly Idealistic and very loyal to her family. Almost nothing can get her down. She fight in what is right and sometimes fails to guard her mouth. Brujah or Anarch of any stripe.
- Naga 'the White Serpent' [Slayers Movies and OVA] Naga is The greatest and strongest rival fo Lina Inverse, well in her mind at least. While her magic some times gets away from here she is a competent sorceress. She also a very beautiful and well endowed young woman. She is proud to the point of Arrogance. She really doesn't fear anything and often doesn't registrar that she been defeated. She likes fine food, money and getting the better of Lina is some manner. Tremere or Toreador fits.
- The Doctor (E. M. H. Program) [Star Trek: Voyager] the doctor on Voyager is the alien trying to be Human. The doctor is a clear pragmatist, who has a pessimistic streak that fails to curb his actions. He will do what ever is required even while he bitches about it. In all things he is loyal, kind, and a good friend. In the end he just has "human as the rest of the crew." Malkavian, Toreador or Lasombra.
- Sylphiel Nels Lahda [Slayers] Sylphiel is the noble daughter of Eruk, her father who she loves deeply. She is a very kind and dignified young woman. She clearly is a quiet force of good who dislikes suffering greatly. She is some what emotional can occasionally can be over come with them in periods of great stress. Her need to help other has become her main reason for living after the death of her father. Salubri perhaps we are talking like a humanity of ten.
- Will Scarlet O'Hera [Robin Hood: Men in Tights] Will is a skilled combatant using both hands and unbelievable ability to use his daggers. He is cocky but not perfect. His abilities are largely martial in nature but it doesn't mean that he is dumb. He more of the follower than a leader though. He rather follow substandard leadership than lead himself. Brujah or martial Toreador.
- Robin Hood [Robin Hood (Errol Flyn: 1938)] Robin hood is a dashing, flamboyant, overconfident former noble lord who challenge the greedy nature of Prince John and his group of Norman Barons. Beneath his showmanship, Robin is a man of deep caring and would rather die that see pain caused to people. He doesn't care about odds, he does what he can and seeks to end the pain that Prince John is causing. As such he lends himself to being Idealist Brujah.
